Thank you for your interest in helping out at the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank the Caring Cupboard. There are a number of areas that you may be interested in and becoming involved in our community on a weekly or monthly basis.

Our volunteers are essential to the success of the food bank operation and without the help and dedication of the volunteers, we would be unable to serve and feed over 7,000 clients per year.

We are always in need of people to assist with stocking, sorting, front counter area to help clients with their food order, assembling food baskets, repackaging, receiving, inventory, donation pickups, community events, fundraisers, and more.

Whether your schedule permits you to volunteer on a short term basis or a long term basis, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your availability. For students who must complete 40 hours of community service, this is an excellent way to make a contribution to help others in your community. We encourage you to get the most out of your volunteer experience by sharing your time, talent and ideas with us.

Volunteers are always needed and welcome here at the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank – the Caring Cupboard.
