MONETARY DONATIONS can be brought to the office during our normal hours of operation or mailed to 24 John Street, St. Thomas, ON,  N5P 2X3. For your convenience, donations can be dropped off at any time, by using the mail slot located at the rear of 24 John Street, St Thomas.

E-TRANSFERS –  St Thomas Elgin Foodbank is happy to announce that we are now accepting e-transfer donations.  Please send donations to treasurer@stthomaselginfoodbank.org

ONLINE DONATIONS can be made be made by selecting the Donate button on the Home Page, from the main Menu or via the Canada Helps  link at the bottom of each page.  A 3.5% service fee will be deducted. All monetary donations receive a receipt for income tax deductions which are automatically mailed or emailed at year-end, unless specified to be sent immediately by our Treasurer.

All individual monetary donations receive a charitable tax receipt via email or mail automatically, unless specified by the donor to send their receipt at year-end. BE AN ANGEL OF THE FOODBANK     Would you like to give a “foodbank angel” to celebrate a birthday or anniversary,  as a Christmas gift or in memory of someone who passed away?

For a donation of $52.00 or more, purchase a foodbank angel.  Tax receipts will be issued for all “angel” donations by the St. Thomas Elgin Foodbank.  Donors will be emailed a donation card to give to the recipient. You can be an angel of the foodbank by clicking here:    st-thomas-elgin-food-bank/campaign/be-an-angel/

 

 

 

FOOD DONATIONS can be brought to the back receiving entrance of 24 John Street during our hours of operation or deposited in our drop-boxes at the following locations: Giant Tiger, Metro, Freshco, Foodland, Food Basics, Real Canadian Superstore and Geerlinks Home Hardware.  The food bank is open to receive donations Monday to Thursday, but it is advisable to call or text the Foodbank Help Line @ 519-878-3663 first.

OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP:

  1. Donate food & personal hygiene items
  2. Make a monetary donation
  3. Encourage your family & friends to make donations instead of buying gifts for special occasions e.g. birthdays, anniversaries.
  4. Organize food drives in your school or place of work and provide incentives for the most items collected.
  5. Support your church during their food drives.
  6. Consider us your “favourite” charity when making bereavement donations.
  7. Consider us when planning birthdays, anniversaries, retirements or any special occasion to make a monetary or food donation in lieu of a gifts.
