WAYS YOU CAN HELP
Thank you for your interest in helping out at the St. Thomas Elgin Food Bank. There are a number of areas that you may be interested in and becoming involved in our community on a weekly or monthly basis.
Our volunteers are essential to the success of the food bank operation and without the help and dedication of the volunteers, we would be unable to serve and handle feeding 20,000 mouths per year.
We are always in need of people to assist with stocking, sorting, assisting with clients, assembling food hampers, repackaging, receiving, inventory, donation pickups, community events, fundraisers, and more.
Whether your schedule permits you to volunteer on a short-term basis or a long-term basis, we encourage you to contact us to discuss your availability. You may also stop by our food bank to pickup a Volunteer Application Form to complete. For students who must complete 40 hours of community service, this is an excellent way to contribute and to assist those in need within your community. We encourage you to get the most out of your volunteer experience by sharing your time, talent and ideas with us.
